Stanley’s Vitalize™ Tempo Bottle – $40

Stanley Vitalize Tempo Bottle front view close up

Some water bottles claim to be spill proof, but after a couple months that ability can sometimes disappear. Thankfully this one doesn’t fall in that group. And it comes in cute or muted colors. Hopefully you can find these on a deal too!

Teren Daily Driver Tee – $50

male wearing the Teren Daily Driver Tee

These were practically custom made for my body type, so obviously they get tons of use every week.

5.11 Sulli UV Hooded Long Sleeve – $60

5.11 Sulli UV Hooded Shirt worn by a male outside

I’ve worked, hiked, and ran in this shirt all summer long. It hasn’t escape scot-free, but it’s survived surprisingly well. Even framing a house!

Ketl Blackwood Shorts – $74

Ketl Blackwood Trail Shorts front view

I usually try more running shorts throughout the year, but I haven’t needed to. These are made of super premium materials, but they don’t need to be babied like competitors. And the back pocket fits my phone perfectly. Except for the high price, these are an easy recommendation.

Momentous Whey Protein Isolate – $70

Good for you in two ways. You get protein AND it’s certified clean protein from 3rd parties.

Backcountry BGA Rambler Stretch Workpant – $89

Backcountry Rambler Stretch Workpants

Minus a weak pocket, these things take serious abuse like a champ. Building and working all day in these, all year round, is no problemo.

Royal Robbins’ Desert Pucker Long Sleeve – $95

Royal Robbins Mojave Pucker

Have you ever been gifted something you’re grateful for but didn’t think you’d use that much… and then you use it all the time! The materials and fit are so good that I can’t help but reach for Royal Robbins’ Desert Pucker Long Sleeve for a day in the office, date night, or any other time I want to be comfortable and look like a stud.

Altra Escalante 4 – ~$100

Altra Escalante 4 exterior side view

As good as the new Escalante 5s, just not as soft and flexible. But if you’re a deal hunter like me, then these are a great alternate! (If you can find a place that still has inventory in your size.)

Jade Harmony 2.0 Mat – $110

Jade Harmony 2.0 Mat yoga grip

Stretching or doing yoga is like medicine when you’re not feeling well. You need it, whether you want it or not. And having a great mat like this makes it way more bearable.

GORUCK Plate Carrier 3.0 – $115

GORUCK Plate Carrier 3.0 back view

After years of being curious about rucking, this is an amazing way to get into it. I seriously think if someone is nervous about running, you should start with rucking. It pushes you a similar, yet different way. You get some cardio, while becoming physically and mentally stronger.

Craft SubZ Running Light Pants – $120

With another summer gone, I have my eye on these bad boys already. They saved me from freezing to death on every winter morning run, walk, and hike last winter. Something that’s crucial if you’re going to enjoy any outdoor activity in the cold.

Scarpa Helix – $139

male rock climber wearing the Scarpa Helix

I’ve been climbing in my La Sportiva Finales for years and years. I didn’t think I would find anything nearly as comparable to them in overall comfort and capability. I’ve been proved wrong. The Scarpa Helix didn’t even rub a specific spot on my foot wrong, which is NOT normal with a new pair of climbing shoes.

Wild Alaskan Company Box – $139 or more

Wild Alaskan Company sockeye salmon

There’s nothing quite like satisfying a foodie’s desire for fresh fish. I don’t know who liked this more. My wife, or me.

Altra Escalante 5 – $140

Altra Escalante 5 running shoes

Wide toe box, zero-drop heel, comfortable, durable. Everything you should have in a daily running shoe, these do. Altra even improved on the previous gen 4s with a softer, sock-like upper. These are a stellar running shoes!

REP’s Adjustable Plyo Box – $160

Four words. Solid as a rock! Coming from always underpaying for benches, it’s always sketchy when I use them for box jumps, weighted step ups, and plenty of other leg day lifts. But REP’s Adjustable Plyo Box eliminates all of that. I am still shocked by how sturdy and solid this adjustable box is.

Vibram Fivefingers Trailope – $180

Vibram Fivefingers Trailope top view

I wish these were more affordable, because they caused the biggest mental flip I’ve had with running in years. But you don’t have to run in them to experience the some thing. Minus the feeling of super smooth material between your toes, I think everyone should experience and have a pair of barefoot shoes. And these are a great all-rounder!

Rab Microlight Alpine Down Hoody – $325

If you’re want to splurge on a gift for you or someone else, this jacket is no joke. You start to warm up after just a couple of minutes. The clean, simple design makes it great for an alpine hike or a night out with a special someone in the middle of winter.
