Momentous Whey Protein Isolate: The Best Taste And Clean

Have you ever had really good Texas BBQ? As strange as it sounds, Momentous Whey Protein Isolate is similar.

They both taste wickedly good and contain nutrients that your body needs. Protein, vitamins, etc. BUT not long after eating my stomach isn’t happy.

Know what I mean?

Best Taste?

I don’t know enough about making protein powder to tell you what Momentous did different so their Whey Protein Isolate tastes better than Raw’s. Comparing the nutritional information, I have to give credit to Momentous because I’ve actually heard of everything on the label.

Although, there’s one ingredient Momentous uses that my stomach has a hard time with AND it’s likely the reason for the better taste. Monk fruit extract.

Momentous vs RAW Whey Protein Isolate Supplement Facts

I’ve tried to bake with monk fruit powder as a healthy-ish alternative to sweets. Annoyingly my stomach doesn’t agree with it. Just like good’ol bbq, it tastes great going in but struggles from that point on.

Real Life

At the end of the day, I can handle a minor upset stomach. But there’s one other reason I have a hard time recommending Momentous’ Whey Protein Isolate.

First, Raw’s and other alternatives have more protein per serving.

A 5 gram difference in protein doesn’t seem like much. But I take half a scoop of Momentous’ protein powder to help minimize the tummy ache. Now I get ~10 grams compared to a the full 25 I got with Raw.

It feels like I’m using Momentous as a flavoring for a breakfast shake.

Thankfully the price per serving isn’t too bad. The subscription price for Momentous is $1.80 per serving, compared to Raw’s steep $2.21. Neither of them are at my $1 or less goal, but maybe I need to adjust that expectation?

The Recap

If your stomach doesn’t get bothered from monk fruit extract, then I would pick Momentous. It tastes super good, is actually my wife’s favorite. Especially with the pricing.

(Maybe their unflavored one would be best for me, since it doesn’t have monk fruit in it?)

Either way, my protein powder search isn’t over. Who knows if a there’s one that’s clean, delicious, and cost-effective? If you have any recommendations on what to try next, please share.
