IM8 Supplement Drinks: Poor Taste, but Great Performance

IM8 Supplement Drinks The Beckham Stack

In a world of endless supplements, it’s pretty dang intimidating to decide on one. Not being a doctor or any type of health specialist, I’m simply here to share my experience with IM8’s two key products.

The Daily Ultimate Essentials and Daily Ultimate Longevity. Aka, The Beckham Stack.

And if there’s any way to summarize my thoughts and time drinking them, I would prefer a supplement pill 99% of the time.

My Pessimistic View of IM8’s Daily Ultimate Essentials Mix

Talking with friends and family, some of their kids would actually eat dirt. And the Daily Ultimate Essentials feels like I’m drinking dirt. Making it quite hard to recommend and drink again.

There’s a subtle fruity accent, but it’s not enough. Most of the time I can’t stop thinking, “I’m drinking dirt.”

Why are do super healthy things not taste good?

And this is where I start to struggle with the branding of IM8. In one of the ads David Beckham shares how one drink can replace multiple supplement pills. A one stop shop for all that you need. A random Instagram influencer shared how she loves the taste. How?

It seems like IM8 took high quality multi-vitamins and threw them into a blender… and it don’t taste great.

My Optimistic View of IM8’s Daily Ultimate Essentials Mix

Outside of the taste and having a hard time stomach it as a daily drink, I can’t deny that it helps.

Everyday? I can’t do that.

However, it’s perfect when I feel sick or need a bit of a pick me up after an intense day.

Just last month I traveled to New York City for work, and somewhere along the way I picked up COVID. My first day back home I started to feel off: sore, exhausted, tired. Thinking I just needed more rest, my wife and I went to bed extra early that night.

I woke up sick though.

So, for the next 4 days I had fruit smoothies for breakfast with the Daily Ultimate Essentials Mix. And my goodness did it help!

I say it helped because I actually felt better after an hour. My stomach and head pain would go down, and I didn’t feel like my body was missing what it needed to fight the sickness.

The Daily Ultimate Longevity

Compared to the Ultimate Essentials mix, the Daily Ultimate Longevity powder tastes incredible! It still has some earthy undertones, but the fruity flavoring is the first and strongest taste of the entire drink.

It is so much better!

This one I actually recommend taking every day if you’re good with the $4 cost per drink. Especially if you drink this while training, after a run, or working outside on a hot day. (If you’re naturally more thirsty, it’s easier to get through the drink.)

Just like LMNT, I recommend playing around with the powder-to-water ratio. You can start with IM8’s recommendation, but do whatever tastes best to you.

For me, the Daily Ultimate Longevity is way nicer with just water too. The Daily Ultimate Essentials is harder to mix it into the water completely. Either way, you’ll want to blend each of them up, or some kind of mixer/frother.

If you don’t, then keep in mind that it’s practically impossible to mix the entire powder into water by shaking it. Even if you add ice to your water, it doesn’t completely mix.

The Recap

With all these different drink mixes and supplements, it’s easier for me to categorize them in two groups: (1) the ones I would take each day, and (2) the ones I use when I’m sick or feeling off.

IM8’s Daily Ultimate Essentials is for when I’m sick, while the Daily Ultimate Longevity mix is good for every day. (Although I prefer LMNT to the Daily Ultimate Longevity.)

These are pretty pricey for me: two drinks that total at $6 per day. I try to get all of my essential nutrients with good, healthy meals. Meals with 2-3 servings of veggies, meat, and some kind of carb/fiber to bring them together.

That said, the one I would replace after I run out? The Daily Ultimate Essentials. It’s nice to have something that helps your body keep off or overcome a sickness, when you need it.
