Jade Harmony 2.0 Mat: Quality and Grip for Years!

We all have things in life that take us back to those childhood moments with vegetables. You don’t like the taste, look, or smell of them, but you know they’re good for you. And so, you take your helping and get them out of the way.

(Or maybe you’re like me, and you still have to force yourself to eat raw veggies most of the time.)

As an adult, stretching, yoga, and ab workouts are like that for me. I know they’re good for me, but man I don’t like doing them. Turns out though, yoga’s a lot more bearable when you use a proper mat instead of a slippery piece of gym floor.

Grip!

Ever since the yoga section in high school gym class, the only thing I like about yoga is the savasana pose. It’s still my favorite.

Back then though, I liked it because there was no way to slip on the thin plastic foam mats. The ones that looked and smelled 20+ years old.

In college I went to some open yoga evening classes, and the same thing happened. The mats were better than the high school ones, but they also had very little grip. Whether you were holding a pose or slowly transitioning to the next one, your feet and hands would slowly slide.

Making it hard to do anything else than get frustrated.

With all of that in mind, I love the Jade Harmony 2.0 mat simply because the grip was, and still is, insane!

Even after you clean different areas it’s good. And it’s super quick and easy to do, since all you need is a damp cloth. Love that!

Smell, But Quality

You’ll see on Jade’s site, and other sites that sell mats made from natural rubber, that there’s always questions about smells. And the Harmony 2.0 was way stronger than I expected. Thankfully it gets better over time, but man it takes some getting used to.

That said, when your face is pressed against it’s hard to relax and take deep breaths. In your first sessions with the mat, remember, it only gets better.

And with how strong the mat has held up so far, 4 months in, this thing is going to last me years. The overall quality is well worth the wait as the smell dies and you acclimate to it. Even my wife uses it more now (if not more than I do). She has a different yoga mat, but it’s started to collect dust because she prefers the Jade Harmony 2.0 mat.

The Recap

I still don’t do yoga as often as I should. But just like when you have a nice sauce or dip to eat raw vegetables the easier it is to eat them. And you eat them way more often than before.

The same goes for me as I’ve done way more yoga these last few months compared to the previous year. And now that I have a solid mat where I don’t slip, it’s that much nicer to stretch compared to before too.

As a causal yoga-er, and with how strong and well made this yoga mat is, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s going to easily last us many slip-free years to come!
